New Title

So awhile back i changed up the color scheme of the blog....

Now I have changed the title...Pitchin' a Tent



Not a real reason for changing....just thought I would get back to bloggin' and figured it needed a new title...



So I guess we will see where this will lead.....

Ouch!

On Friday July 13th, 2007 (that's right Friday the 13th), I broke my big toe.

Let me just say it hurt like a dickens.

A quick story on what happened:

At about 3:15pm,I got bored of my computer and proceeded upstairs to the living room. My wife, Laura, and our cat, Chubs, were upstairs watching TV (I think).

I started talking to Laura about our plans for dinner. In the middle of the conversation, Chubs decided that it was play time. So I started annoying my cat, as I do, to get him riled up. I decided that it would be fun to have Chubs chase me around the living room(yeah...good idea). So as the chase was on, I decided to out smart the cat and jump over the love seat (bad move). As I landed over the love seat, I heard a "POP" and proceeded to fall to the floor.

Laura, being concerned, asked if I had sprained my ankle.....I wish. I told her, No....I think I broke my toe (anatomy class pays off).

After much discussion and a few phone calls, we decided to go to the hospital were they not only confirmed it was broke but told me it was dislocated as well. A few seconds....literally seconds, like maybe 1, after the kind doctor gave me 2 shots to numb my toe. She gracefully yanked on my toe and put it back in place.....that was very very very very painful. I mean....shouldn't there have been a pause....to you know let the numbness set in before yanking on a broken toe!

Anyway, the toe is back in place, and now just purple and hard to walk on.

Well, other then that...

Bloomington is good...finally found a new job, but I will post on that later.

long time no blog......


Well, we got our shit packed up and headed out west. We now reside in Indiana, Bloomington to be more specific.

Place seems to be pretty nice, big change from Boston. If you can believe it, this seems to a smaller version of Norman, OK!

Still looking for a job =/

But, hopefully something comes up soon.

Haven't had a chance to go out and watch Transformers yet. Waiting to find a job first. Hopefully it is pretty cool.

Anywho...

Will keep all you posted on what's going on...till then...

Disappointed

Blizzard Entertainment has announced its new game! Diablo III you say.........unfortunately no...

it's StarCraft II.... www.starcraft2.com

I must say I am a bit disappointed., not being a fan of RTS games...I was hoping to see D3 instead.

But alas, no...

its all good tho....StarCraft has a rich universe and I know quite a few people that have been anticipating this sequel.

anywho here is the cinematic trailer, as always Blizzard looks like the have another Game of the Year on there hands.

Hellgate: London

On the gaming front:

Just got word from Mythic EA that WAR, Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, has had its release date pushed back to Q1 2008. Not a huge disappointment since I kind of expected it.

So it does look like that WoW is going to occupy my free time for a bit longer.....

at least until Sept. when Hellgate: London is set to be unleashed.

This is not an MMORPG ala WoW and WAR, but an action RPG ala Diablo II. From what I have seen of this game, it looks totally wicked....yea that's right...wicked.

Set in future London, the gates of hell have opened and it is your job to kick the shit out of them.

You only get to choose between 2 classes, but looks like you can specialize the classes with talents.

As the release date approaches, I will try and get more information. I have linked the website above and the trailer below:

MySpace vs. Blogger

Sooooo.....


I was talkin to someone who recently just signed up with blogger regarding the ins and outs of Blogger.

Now this person is an avid MySpacer and asking me how to add friends to her blogger.

Well.....I said, "you don't", you just blog and people read it and leave comments if they want.

they said. "well, whats the point if you can't add friends?"

This got me to thinking......hmmm.....what is the point....


well....being an avid blogger.. >.>

ok.......not so much but hey who cares


but seriously....is MySpace better than Blogger?

I say.....HELL NO.....

I don't need any list to let me know if I have friends....

but really the main problems I have with MySpace are as follows:

1. All the stupid spamming for invites....I mean really who gives a shit if someone has 6,000,000,000,000,000 people listed as friends on a damn web page....get a damn life!
2. All the ads/spyware/virus and just plain crap that comes on MySpace.....my wife and sister are both avid MySpacers and they are like I have this problem with my PC and now I have that problem..... well..........I don't........................get off MySpace!
3. The corporate use of MySpace.......man, leave it to the independent artist....you have enough money...develop your own website, damn!

ok, besides those and the all the damn kids and other annoying people...those are it.


but, would it be cool...to have some sort of friends thing...not sure

Also, as the information has coerced out of me.....I am not an avid blogger, so maybe there is a way to do this and I am not aware of it.

well....maybe one of my fellow Justice Leaguers could help us out....

ATHF

So we went to watch the ATHF movie this past weekend and I must say......

after the opening sequence......the rest of the movie was.............well.....meh

I mean it was funny...don;t get me wrong, but the opening sequence was damn side cracklin funny!

but you should go watch it.....**you** the reader(s) of my blog........ok ok ..........the make-believe people i have in my head that read my blog.
